CBD Oil VS Hemp Oil – Are they the same??2022-07-21T19:09:34-04:00

Hemp Oil vs. CBD Oil: Cannabinoid Content
Marijuana growers typically focus on the two main cannabinoids: CBD and THC. The growers cross-breed plant strains to create new versions that increase one of these cannabinoids, while decreasing the other. For example, CBD has been shown to be extremely useful in treating many medical problems. Therefore, growers have created strains with high CBD and low THC to increase the medicinal effects without causing the psychoactive high.

Hemp Oil & CBD Oil Are Both Low in THC
Hemp oil and CBD oil are both low in THC when compared to other marijuana products. Most countries require that to be considered hemp, the THC concentration must be 0.3% or lower. There is no way to experience the marijuana high at such a low percentage. CBD oil may have a higher THC count, but the concentration is usually kept low (between 1% and 5%) in order to maximize the medicinal effects of the CBD. It all depends on the strain used to produce the CBD oil.

Hemp Oil Has Low CBD
Hemp oil has a very low CBD count (3.5%). This low CBD concentration makes it all but useless as a medicinal treatment. Because of this low cannabinoid count (both THC and CBD), the hemp plant—and hemp oil in particular—has vastly different uses when compared to CBD oil.

CBD Oil Has High CBD Content
CBD oil, on the other hand, has a very high CBD count (20%). This high concentration makes it ideal as a medical treatment for issues such as nausea, seizures, anxiety, depression, and even cancer.

What is CBD?2022-07-21T19:05:04-04:00

CBD is shorthand for Cannabidiol, an ingredient found in either the Hemp or Marijuana plant. CBD does not have any THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), so it doesn’t cause psychoactive symptoms.. However, because the CBD industry isn’t highly regulated, unscrupulous manufacturers may take advantage of unsuspecting customers. It is difficult to know whom to trust, which is why a consumer should look for a trusted company with good reviews that makes third-party lab tests readily available. Will CBD affect my mood?2022-07-21T19:07:34-04:00

To understand CBD’s impact on the body, you need to understand the Endocannabinoid System, or ECS. Humans have cannabinoid receptors in the brain that respond to CBD, and taking CBD can increase the amount of anandamide in the body. Anandamide is a naturally occurring arachidonic acid derivative, present in some foods and in mammalian brains, where it acts as a messenger molecule and plays a role in pain, depression, appetite, memory, and fertility. It is sometimes called the “bliss molecule” because of how it affects your mood. Additionally, endocannabinoids in your body can affect inflammation and even help reduce pain, which is why CBD is so versatile, and how the ECS is responsible for regulating functions like natural sleep cycle.
